As a Certified Professional Photographer in Knoxville, Tennessee, I create natural, heartfelt portraits for families and high school seniors. I’ll gently guide you, help with every detail and make the experience feel relaxed—even if being photographed isn’t usually your favorite thing.
Before photography became my profession, I spent nearly 40 years teaching middle school. That experience taught me patience, flexibility a sense of humor, and how to help people relax and enjoy our time together—skills I bring to every family and senior portrait session.
Photography became deeply personal to me after losing my son. I understand that portraits aren’t simply decorations. They preserve the people, expressions and relationships we never want to forget. That understanding is at the heart of every family and senior I photograph.

LIFE BEYOND THE CAMERA
Home is where the dog hair flies.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually sharing the sofa—and nearly every other available surface—with four dogs: two Labradoodles, a Bernedoodle and Apollo, the German Shepherd who first belonged to my son and now holds an especially meaningful place in our family.
Life with them is affectionate, noisy, slightly chaotic and never dull. They keep me laughing, remind me to appreciate the everyday moments and have made me very comfortable with the beautiful unpredictability that children, pets and real families bring.
